Boomi arrived at Snoot Farms with one lamb in tow. What we didn't know was that she had two other buns in the oven! As she got bigger and bigger, we just figured she was now in an environment with free access to an all-you-can eat grass buffet. But much to our delight, she delivered April and Uno on, well, April 1st.
Boomi is an incredible mom. She's patient, strong and protective. Mother ewes talk to their babies by "humming" - a low pitch, calm "bah". But as you can see in this video, when Uno calls to Boomi out of confusion, separation, or hunger Boomi thunderously bleats as she springs into action and sprints across the pasture to pacify Uno.
It's a beautiful thing to witness such a strong bond between a mom and her baby. We love you, Boomi!!!
